Wavefront lasik & astigmatism
What is wavefront?
The wavefront technique is a more advanced way of treating visual defects and is used on patients with more aberrations on the cornea than normal, that is if the patient has astigmatism. On the pre-examination a wavefront analysis of the eyes cornea is made to get an exact topographic "map" of the corneasaberrations. This "map" is then transmitted to the laser which in the end means that the eye gets a more detailed polishing of the cornea. This method is recommendedfor patients who want better darkness vision. After the pre-examination is done the doctor decides whether or not the patient needs wavefront treatment.Who is wavefront lasik for?
