Our references Fredrik and Dan speaks about their lasik treatment and experiences in Istanbul.

How come you decided to have lasik treatment?
Fredrik - I had been looking for alternatives to glasses. I wanted to have more freedom in my life.

Dan - I had been using contact lenses since the age of 13 and getting rid of my glasses and lenses for good was an easy decision.

How did you feel the days before the trip?
Fredrik - It felt really great. I had been focusing on the vacation instead of the actual laser treatment.

Dan - It felt good and I looked forward to leave the lasik treatment behind me. I was alittle nervous a while before the trip but the people atPerfect Vision did everything to make sure we were ready.

What expectations did you have of the trip?
Fredrik - Didnt have that many, the strongest expectation was to have perfect vison after the treatment and see Istanbul.

Dan - Just wanted the have perfect vision and get rid of glasses and lenses.

What did think about the reception?
Fredrik - The reception was wonderful. Instead of being treated like confused tourists we were treated like family members. It gave me a sense of comfort and didnt have to think about any practical things. We were in Turkey to relax and feel good.

Dan - We were very surprised from the nice reception we got at the airport and the people were great.

What was the hotel like?
Fredrik - Hotel Cartoon wasnt quite like I thought it would be, it was better. It sounds like a hotel with a specific Disney theme, but it was an elegant hotel with a fantastic dining-room. Everything was clean and shiny and it had a view over entire Istanbul from the sky bar.

Dan - Hotel Cartoon was a very elegant hotel in the center of Istanbul which we really appreciated. Just going outside and feeling the atmosphere was wonderful.

What did you think of the hospital/eye clinic?
Fredrik - The hospital area felt like a small town, it was very clean and beatyful.The environment was peaceful and there was alot of space. The buildings had beatyful architecture and the insides were very modern.

Dan - The hospital reminded me of a school campus, like a small town in itself. The buildings looked old but were beatyful. It was very nice just to be there. And the tea that was served was excellent.

What did you think of dr Nusret Bas?
Fredrik - Before the trip I read about him on the Internet and it felt good. Though it wasnt until I actually met him I realized that he was a manwith great knowledge and experience. He wasnt just another doctor, he cared about his patients.

Dan - After I'd met with dr Bas I'm glad I didnt have the lasik treatment elsewhere. He was very nice to us and treated us more like family members than patients.

How did you feel just before the lasik treatment?
Fredrik - I knew every step of the treatment but I had never been so afraid in my life.

Dan - Some uncertainty was present, but I was pretty calm thanks to dr Bas.

How did you feel afterwards?
Fredrik - It felt strange, I wasnt afraid anymore and I realized that I had been afraid for nothing. I didnt feel a thing from the laser treatment. I was alittle sensitive against the light afterwards, but it felt better after an hour.After two hours I could stay outside without any problems and I felt very satisfied.

Dan - Immediately after the laser treatment it wasnt that bad. I just sat and waited for the eye examination. The pain was stronger after about twenty minutes, but after about four or five hours the pain was pretty much gone and I could see far more better than I had ever done before. The day after, all pain was gone and I could see perfectly with some light discomfort.

How would you like to summon up your total experience?
Fredrik - The best thing with this trip was to get my eyes fixed. I think the guides did an excellent job showing us alot of historic places, mosques, bazaars, waterpipe cafes and so on. We got to see as much as anyone can during our stay and there really is something for everybody in Istanbul.
When you hear people talk about memories its often things that were exciting, fun and changed their lives. THIS was a memory for life. I will never forget our trip.

Dan - The trip was far beyond my expectations and I am very pleased. To go away on a holiday and come back with perfect vision sounds almost incredible and I wouldnt have believed it if it wasnt for the fact that I did it myself.
