MonovisionMonovision is laser eye surgery method which gives you good near and far vision without the use of reading glasses. With monovision your eyes are treated differently with the laser. One eye is treated for near vision and the other for far vision. In about a month your brain will adapt to your new eyesight and you wont be needing glasses anymore.
When humans age the natural lens become less and less elastic. This makes it harder to focus on object really close or really far away. Between the age of 40 and 50 the lens has lost so much of its elastic abilities that you must use reading glasses or progressive glasses to be able to read the newspaper, read books or even watch TV. This is called Presbyopia and the solution is either monovision laser eye surgery, CLE or Phakic IOL. If you are interested in monovision surgery, we recommend that you go to your optician and try out lenses that simulate monovision. It is important that you try out lenses before you decide to have monovision because some people have more difficulties to adjust to their new eyesight. Monovision is an addition to Lasik or Lasek. All additions are payed for at the clinic. See prices here. |
